My Big World iPad App for Children

We found a fun and interesting iPad app for children this week. This interactive app comes from the developer aDad Ltd and is call My Big World. This app for children offers hours of entertainment and education on life around the globe.  The developer was smart to include tons of content with over 350 pages of wonderful images, videos, illustrations, stories and games. My Big World is aimed at the 3-6 year old age range.

Your young children will enjoy using this easy to navigate app that offers a touch and learn interface. The images and illustrations and high quality and will captivate young learners. Elevated Math ipad appToday we’ve got back to school iPad apps from Elevated Lab Press called Elevated Math. Elevated Math takes middle school math learning several levels higher. This iPad app is chocked full of math lessons (over 150 math lessons) and covers instruction in geometry, algebra, probability, estimation, place value, SAT and more.

This iPad app is developed with the Montessori education approach as the foundation for this wonderful children’s learning app. From the moment you tap on this iPad app you will be impressed with the beauty of the design and the high quality illustrations. The Alpha Writer team has built a thoughtful early education iPad app that understands childhood development and the power of touch in learning.

My 4 year old son really jumped into this app for iPad and immersed himself in both modes at the first sitting. As you might of guessed, the two modes are Alpha and Writer. Kids Happily Return to School for New iPad 2

My children are sad that summer has ended and now it’s back to school. However, one school has a remedy for the end of summer blues. Hand out an iPad 2 tablet to each student in your school instead of textbooks. Lake Minneola High School in Central Florida are doing just that. This is the first public school in Central Florida to purchase the iPad 2 for all their students at a cost of  about $700,000. However, school officials believe that the iPad 2 investment will actually save them money over the cost of textbooks.  Continue reading
