Great Battles iPad app

This iPad app hit the app store today. It is called D-Day 1944 and offers you the history of the Normandy landings with this colourful, fact-filled ipad app. This app comes to you from Amber Books and MSM Studio. This iPad app has some pretty cools features like an animated map of D-Day 1944. This history app for iPad really utilizes the iPad experience with audio commentary, a detailed battle history, image gallery and a D-Day quiz.
Even if you are not a history and war buff you’ll appreciate the detailed map animation, showing the progress of the attacks on the five beaches and the Nazi resistance they encountered. The developers have done a good job detailing the end of Hitler’s Nazi Germany on the iPad platform. You can watch, read and listen to the historical account of the build-up to the operation, the action itself and the aftermath of the Normandy Landings. As we swiped through the app we found it to be well designed and a unique and interactive experience. Continue Reading →

iPad apps Spoof

The Old Spice commercials are getting even more popular with each installment. Now an iPad spoof of the commercial. This is funny and timely. In this nerd rich manmercial you’ll enjoy this iPad-centric parody. I for one can’t get enough of the Old Spice commercials. They are the best of breed, although I’ll probably never be able to disassociate that pungent aroma from the Old Spice cologne that made me gag in my youth. True to the new Old Spice formula this manmercial will include a horse!
