Review: OrganiDoc HD for iPad

best ipad appsIf you are like me I want access to all my files on my iPad. We found a great new iPad app that works better than a USB Flash drive it is called OrganiDoc HD. Wenjoy Technology is the developer of this wonderful iPad file-management app. This iPad app is built to work with a huge range of files types. We were successful in storing Microsoft Office files, iWorks files, Web files, text files and they all displayed nicely within the OrganiDoc HD app for iPad. This means that if you want to store a PDF file, an html file, a doc file, or even a zipped file, you can. This well designed iPad app supports just about every file format all within a single iPad app interface. That is one of its strengths of this app that distinguishes it from other iPad productivity apps. (Video demo and screenshots below break)

We also really like this app for storing and retrieving movie and video files. This is a great way to watch your movies without maxing out the storage on your iPad. This app works great with photo images and well as Mp3 files. Video files such as wmv or mpg will be converted to mp4 or mp3 (audio) and allow you to play them. The design of this app is clean and set in three sidebar sections that are easy to navigate. They include a documents (doc) container, the video (media) container, and the images (photo) container. Different forms of files can be segregated and imported into these containers. You can automatically import files from the iTunes file sharing area or just select them from within the app after opening one of these containers where you’ve stored your file.

OrganiDoc HD has done a super job of integrating so many of the cloud storage services. Dropbox is one that I prefer but they’ve also included Google Docs, MobileMe iDisk, box.net, are supported by this iPad app. We also really like how you can drop and drag files from this app onto the cloud and vice-versa.

Overall, this is a great app that is packed with features but it performs it’s primary objective very well which is to be a file storage app. OrganiDoc HD iPad app
is available on the app store for a limited time for $2.99.
